Londinium Wasn't Built in a Day

It's common knowledge that Rome wasn't built in a day - any city or civilization for that matter - mainly because the phrase is repeated ad nauseam. During the Romans' rule over much of the known world, the historical giants helped give birth to one of today's most influential cities, London. In John Morris' 1982 bestseller, Londinium, the relationship between the two is thoroughly examined and brilliantly linked.

Some years later, the browser-based game Londinivm gives gamers a chance to test their mettle and best-laid strategy in a real-time, role-playing format.

Browser-based games have exploded in popularity in recent years. With games like Mobsters and Holy War, the ability to be your very own Tony Soprano or a chivalrous knight of the Templar is an immensely intriguing prospect. Londinivm touches on this same enthralling aspect.

Search for all the tips and pointers you want, know the rules and read your guides; you're still only as good as the strategy you can put together. Londinivm demands a different type of gaming. An Internet game, it may well be, but unlike the best online casinos out there, winning here requires plenty of patience and feverous fortitude.

Londinivm offers gamers hundreds of hours of absorbing gameplay. You will choose and train your character, engage in intense battles with NPC's and other online players, work for your money, forge your own equipment to use and/or sell, and slowly build up your experience level by participating in non-combat activities. The lonely drifter stands little chance in Londinivm, friends, so if you're planning on going it alone, think again. Joining tribes and forming allegiances to work together against a common enemy is a sound strategy - one that may save your skin.

The game features are numerous for a browser-based game. Although not at detailed as some casino games, you still get some decent graphics … something that many of Londinivm's counterparts aren't offering.

Player features include over 50 types of unique weapons and armor kits; player-vs.-player combat; an active, live-time community; 8 separate player skills and classes; a wholly unique energy system; distinctive and original quests; and much more. Players will test their particular strategy and keep their energy up. Whether you're battling opponents, mining for tin or silver, forging weapons, etc, you'll need energy to do so.

This browser-based RPG is turning heads the web over. Themes like the Ancient World are always popular, and Londinivm touches on a civilization mostly forgotten … until now.
